PRE & POST TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Facials | DiamondGlow | Microdermabrasion | Peels | Skinpen PRE-TREATMENT: If you have had any Botox, fillers or more invasive facial services eg: peels, skinpen or laser services that you wait two weeks before receiving above mentioned services. Also, the use of Accutane. If you are wanting to schedule any facial treatment on the same day as Botox or fillers you would do the facials first with the exception of skinpen (it must be done alone). Also if you are using any retinol products that you discontinue use 72 hours prior to treatment to alleviate any skin sensitivities and please, avoid the sun. POST-TREATMENT You may experience some redness this can be caused by the suction of the machine and or the process of abrading the skin but generally rectifies itself quickly. Generally, you can return to normal activities right after. Sunscreen is a must as you will be photosensitive and more susceptible to sunburn.
Permanent Makeup: Eyeliner | Microblading PRE-TREATMENT Prior to any permanent makeup procedures, you would want to be off blood thinners for 72hr prior to service, if the blood thinners are prescription check with your doctor before going off any medication. Contraindications for permanent makeup are as follows: diabetes, uncontrolled high blood pressure, pregnant and lactating, glaucoma, blood thinners, cortisone, undergoing cancer treatments, steroids and Accutane, among other skin disorders. POST-TREATMENT You may experience some redness and the treated area may be sensitive. There is a three-day recovery period for eyeliner and a Five to nine-day with microblading. You will not want to do any activities that make you sweat, the sweat can dilute and remove the pigment that has been implanted. The healing process goes through a series of phases that will be discussed with you at the time of service. Brows and liner may appear darker than desired for the first few days as they heal and will require a 30-day touchup that is included in the initial cost. It is important to follow the healing instructions for the best outcome. As with any more invasive service infection is always a possibility so the area must be kept clean and dressed with provided aftercare.
VI Peels PRE-TREATMENT Please discontinue the use of retinols 72hrs prior to treatment and avoid the sun. If you are prone to fever blisters contact the office one week before your treatment as a stronger peel may excite the fever blister response in some people. Also, people who have aspirin allergies may have a reaction from the salicylic acid in the product, consult with your doctor. POST-TREATMENT Post-treatment you will follow the instructions given by your provider, they will go over them in the treatment room and you will be provided written instructions. One thing to consider when scheduling a VI Peel is that you will peel! The amount of peeling will depend on your skin type and condition, so plan your peel according to your schedule. If you work out or play sports you will need several days off from sweating, sweating can cause blistering or hypopigmentation, that being said you may resume your routine after the skin fully releases and starts to peel.
